The following are characters who played minor roles at the fictional CTU over the course of the television show 24's six seasons.

Tom Baker

Tom Baker (played by Daniel Dae Kim) was a feld agent in 24.

Baker first appears in 24 season 2 as a field agent under the direction of Jack Bauer. In season 2, his first job requires saving Kate Warner as she had been captured by terrorists. After that, he escorts Kate after she saw Syed Ali, the terrorists behind the day's attacks. He also assists in the capture of Ali soon after. In day 3, Baker assists mostly with Chase Edmunds and CTU for Stephen Saunders.

Scott Baylor

Scott Baylor (played by Scott Denny) was a CTU analyst who discovered there was a mole inside CTU who was involved in the assassination attempt on Senator David Palmer.

Baylor was instructed by Richard Walsh to analyze the key cards of all CTU employees. He was asked to look for suspicious patterns of movement and computer access, but found something even more incriminating, one of the cards' magnetic strips had been used to store encrypted information. However, the owner of the card had wiped their personal information off it before handing it over.

Baylor put his family on a flight to Canada and asked Walsh to meet him secretly at 2350 Dunlop Plaza to hand off the card. Baylor met with Walsh there and gave him the keycard. He explained to Walsh that the magnetic strip on the keycard had an embedded file with a great deal of data which could be easily smuggled out of a restricted area. Fearing for his life, Baylor wanted to resign and be with his family, but Walsh convinced him to remain at CTU and help uncover the people responsible for the threat on Senator Palmer. Baylor agreed to help for the next 24 hours, but insisted he would join his family after that. As Walsh and Baylor prepared to leave, Walsh was seriously injured, and Baylor was killed.

Carrie Bendis

Carrie Bendis (played by Danielle Burgio) was a CTU agent, best known for her connection to the death of Edgar Stiles.

Bendis gets in a verbal spat with Lynn McGill shortly after McGill takes control of CTU. McGill attempts to fire Carrie, which becomes one of the events leading Curtis Manning to exercise Section 112 to remove McGill from power. She is reinstated and continues to work for CTU. A couple hours later while doing a routine systems check she discovers an abnormality and reports it to Edgar Stiles. Edgar tells her that if she wants someone to check it out, she should do it herself. When she enters the room where the anomaly was (the ventilation control room), she is murdered by Ostroff, who was planting Sentox nerve gas in CTU for Vladimir Bierko.

Howard Bern

Howard Bern (played by Robert Cicchini) was a CTU field agent. Late during Day 4, Bern was part of a covert CTU operation led by Jack Bauer to extract Lee Jong, an associate of the terrorist Habib Marwan, after Lee took refuge at the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles. Though team successfully extracted Lee, a major diplomatic incident occurred when the Chinese consul was accidentally killed by friendly fire during the incident.

CTU and the White House initially denied any involvement, but Chinese agent Cheng Zhi managed to identify Bern when his mask was briefly pulled up by a guard and caught on a surveillance camera. Jack and Bill Buchanan arranged for Bern to go into hiding, but he was apprehended by Cheng and his men before he could reach his hiding place. Faced with the possibility of spending the rest of his life in a Chinese prison, Bern reluctantly implicated Jack as the leader of the operation. Bern was presumably released after this.

Jack would later be forced to fake his own death because of this and go into hiding for over a year, before he too was apprehended by Cheng.

Rick Burke

Rick Burke (played by Marty Papazian) was the CTU interrogator during Day 5 and 6.

Burke was brought in to try and get Christopher Henderson to talk, and got him into CTU Medical before the Sentox VX nerve gas was released.

Tony Almeida knocked Burke out and attempted to kill Henderson as revenge for his wife's death earlier in the day. However, Henderson either was faking the coma or came to, and killed Tony instead.

Later, Burke interrogated Audrey Raines when Collette Stenger named her as the source of the schematic for Wilshire Gas Company that Stenger sold to Vladimir Bierko.

Burke appeared during Day 6 to assist in the interrogation of Graem Bauer. He was also standing by at CTU to interrogate Abu Fayed, but Jack and Buchanan decided to deceive Fayed and trick him into leading CTU to the bombs after it became clear that medical torture would yield no results.

Burke also appears in the "24 Debrief" following the events of Day 6.

Lee Castle

Lee Castle (played by Cameron Bancroft) was a field agent during Day 4.

He is first seen after former Agent Tony Almeida returns to work at CTU on a temporary basis. Castle greets Jack and yet does not understand why Tony is with him. Jack answers and says that he wants Tony there to back him up. Castle says that Tony is not authorized. Castle gets Tony a vest and briefs them. When they break into the hotel room with Dina Araz in it he immediately puts pressure on her arm wound. Tony grabs Castle and puts him up against the wall. Jack yells at him to leave the room. Tony holds Castle against the wall to calm him down. In the hallway, Castle says that Tony has no right to give him orders. Jack calms him down and says Tony did the right thing.

Agent Castle is depicted as a competent agent throughout the remainder of the day. He is present when CTU raids the nightclub where Habib Marwan is. Marwan and his men escape because of arriving Secret Service agents giving away their position. Castle is shot and killed at about 4:55am by a terrorist named Mandy. She shoots Castle to death and takes Tony hostage.

During the final episode of day three Edmunds has a fight with the final virus courier Arthur Rabens. During the fight Rabens is killed, but Edmunds attaches the virus to his arm to prevent Rabens escaping with te virus. This leads to Bauer having to sever Edmunds forarm to safely diffuse the device.

Alberta Green

Alberta Green (played by Tamara Tunie) was a CTU division director. After Jack Bauer escaped Secret Service custody, Alberta Green was brought into CTU to assist in the finding of Bauer and to destroy all targets who might attempt a move on Senator David Palmer.

Alberta was ruthless and gave a speech to everyone at CTU that all orders would come from her and that anyone assisting Jack would be punished and suspended. She noticed tension between Nina Myers and Tony Almeida and became suspicious of their contact with Jack. She threatened to suspend them, but a denial from Jack prevented this. Alberta lost her authority after the arrival of Ryan Chappelle, and was later replaced by George Mason.

Teddy Hanlin

Teddy Hanlin (played by Kirk Baltz) was a sniper working for the Counter Terrorism Unit during Day 1. He held a grudge against Jack Bauer after Bauer arrested his partner, Seth Campbell, for taking bribes. Hanlin never forgave Bauer for this. During an operation to capture a suspect, Hanlin taunted Jack by telling him of how Campbell's wife killed herself. Not trusting Bauer, Hanlin shot the suspect, Alan Morgan, in the leg, making him fall to his death over a banister. It should also be noted that in season 5, it was revealed one of the other CTU agents accused of taking bribes was Christopher Henderson.

Valerie Harris

Valerie Harris (played by Jenny Levine)

Valerie Harris works for the Department of Homeland Security. She is brought into CTU Los Angeles to replace Chloe O'Brian when Homeland absorbs CTU during Day 5.

When Karen Hayes and Miles Papazian ask Audrey Raines to sign a statement documenting all of CTU's mistakes under the leadership of Bill Buchanan, Audrey agrees, but demands that Chloe be kept on staff under her supervision. Miles and Karen allow Chloe to stay, so Valerie is assigned to another station.

When Karen and Miles are later searching for Jack Bauer, they instruct Valerie to track Audrey, in hopes that she'll lead them to Jack. She places a transponder under Audrey's car, but Chloe helps Audrey find and remove the tracker and shake the surveillance team. Chloe is taken into custody when Miles realizes that she helped Audrey.

Chloe escaped from the holding area and fled to Bill Buchanan's house. Valerie later discovered that Chloe escaped and alerted Karen Hayes, pointing out a conversation between Chloe and Shari Rothenberg.

She is suspicious when Buchanan is let out of holding and O'Brian returns to CTU, and also interrupts a conversation between Karen and Miles about President Charles Logan.

Ronnie Lobell

Ronnie Lobell (played by Shawn Doyle) was the Director of Field Ops at CTU at the start of Day 4.

Lobell led the team that apprehended the terrorist Tomas Sherek who was connected to a train bombing less than an hour earlier. He later accompanied Jack Bauer to locate Kalil Hassan, who was working with the group that had abducted Secretary of Defense James Heller. Jack wanted to follow Hasan, hoping he would lead them to Heller, but Lobell insisted on apprehending Hassan immediately, and handcuffed Jack to a railing to prevent him from interfering. Unfortunately, Hassan spotted him and shot and fatally wounded Lobell. He managed to give Jack the keys to his handcuffs before dying.

George Mason

George Mason (played by Xander Berkeley) was a district manager for CTU during Day 1, who was also Director of CTU LA for seasons 1 & 2.

Mason is first seen in CTU assisting Jack Bauer and updating him on the search for the mole inside CTU. Bauer thinks Mason is holding something back, and attempts to blackmail him. Mason appears hesitant, but reluctantly tells Bauer what he was holding back. Later, after Alberta Green is relieved of her command over CTU, Mason arrives to replace her. He assists with everything going on throughout the rest of the day, and then Bauer tells Mason about Nina Myers who is a possible mole, and sends him the evidence that verifies Bauer's belief.

Mason appears again in CTU during Day 2 as Director of CTU, where he also assists in the capturing of a nuclear device. Mason goes to check up on a source, when terrorists try to kill everyone and release a plutonium agent which Mason inhales. The symptoms become clear soon, and becomes evident Mason is not fit to continue as Director of CTU. Later, CTU finds the bomb, but discovers that there is no way to disarm it so, Jack Bauer agrees to carry it out to the Mojave desert where it would detonate, barely harming anyone. It is revealed that Mason is on the plane with Bauer, and convinces him to parachute out and let him do the job, knowing he hasn't long to live.

Lynn McGill

Lynn McGill (played by Sean Astin) was an upper-level administrator from the Regional Division of CTU. During Day 5's hostage crisis at Ontario Airport, McGill was appointed by the White House to CTU-Los Angeles to supervise Bill Buchanan and the rest of the team. Initially portrayed as confident, McGill's competence came into question as he worked and operated with a rigid and unyielding "by the book" naïveté. This eventually led to his removal from command.

Later that day, McGill's stolen keycard was used to gain access for a deployment of deadly Sentox nerve gas into the CTU facility. About 40% of CTU staffers perished from exposure, but McGill survived in a sealed holding cell. To disperse the gas, McGill decided to sacrifice his life by leaving the protected area to disable a rogue program interfering with the ventilation system.

Upon returning to the room, he heard over the intercom that he saved the lives of everyone still alive inside CTU. Having exposed himself to the lethal gas, McGill fell and died in a puddle of his own vomit. The remaining CTU staffers watched McGill's death throes in horror, owing their lives to his valiant effort.

Ted Paulson

Ted Paulson (played by Kevin Ramsey) was an agent working for CTU during Day 1, . In the novel, he provided backup for Nina Myers in the field. During Day 1, he was sent with Nina Myers and Agent Breeher to protect Teri and Kim Bauer while they were at a CTU safe house. When Nina Myers left the safehouse, Paulson continued the debriefing of the Bauers. When he noticed that one of the other agents at the safe house was not at his position, Paulson grew anxious and decided to hide the Bauers in a bedroom. Paulson then found Jovan Myovic and trained his gun on him. However, another shooter, Mishko Suba, stabbed him from behind.

When the shooters hear the Bauers driving away, they chase after them. Paulson managed to get out of the house and shot Mishko before being shot himself by Myovic. It is revealed in 'The House Special Subcommittee's Findings at CTU' that Paulson died several hours later.

Milo Pressman

Milo Pressman (played by Eric Balfour) began his CTU tenure as an independent technological contractor during Day 1. Pressman was brought into CTU Los Angeles by Nina Myers to decode a key card containing information about an assassination plot against Senator David Palmer.

After the events of Day 1, Pressman was transferred to CTU Denver for seven years.

Pressman reappeared during Day 6 as an Internet Protocol Manager. After a failed attempt at a relationship with Chloe O'Brian, Pressman was romantically attracted to Nadia Yassir, with whom he shared a passionate kiss. When Chinese mercenaries raided CTU, Pressman was executed in an attempt to protect Yassir from harm.

Eric Richards

Eric Richards (played by Butch Klein )was the CTU Interrogator in seasons 3 and 4.

In Day 3, when agent Gael Ortega was thought to be a mole, Richards and Ryan Chappelle interrogated agent Ortega. Tony Almeida, hearing of this, enters the interrogation cell and sends out Richards. It is then revealed that Ortega is working with Jack & Tony. Also, Richards interrogated Nina Myers in Day 3 with Tony. The attempt to get information out of her failed. however, when Nina tried to commit suicide and was taken to medical.

In Day 4, Richards remained one CTU's interrogators. When Audrey Raines' Brother Richard Heller is brought into CTU, Richards starts torturing Heller with Curtis Manning. Later, when Sarah Gavin is framed by Marianne Taylor as the mole, Richards used a taser on Gavin.

Shari Rothenberg

Shari Rothenberg (played by Kate Mara.) was an analyst who worked at CTU late in Day 5.

Two years before Day 5, Shari worked with Miles Papazian at DHS, San Francisco. She filed a grievance for sexual harassment, but with no solid evidence to back her claims, Miles was let off with a warning.

On Day 5, Bill Buchanan reassigned Shari from "section five, downstairs" to take over Edgar Stiles's workload after the Sentox nerve gas attack on CTU. She was only provisionally qualified for Level Three technical work, though her Chemistry expertise led CTU to Wilshire Gas Company, the natural gas distribution center where Vladimir Bierko planned to release the remainder of his Sentox supply.

Knowing that Vladimir Bierko would have to lower the pressure of the gas running through the pipes before releasing the Sentox into the supply, Shari pointed out to Buchanan and Chloe O'Brian that they could find which center Bierko was after by monitoring the PSI at each one. Because of her knowledge, Jack Bauer was able to destroy the center before the Sentox could be released into 90,000 homes.

Between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., Shari was in charge of checking satellite logs, and noticed that one of the satellites was being used covertly. Shari alerted Chloe, who discovered the satellite was being used by DHS director Karen Hayes (then in charge of CTU Los Angeles) to track Audrey Raines. In collaboration with Hayes, she wore a wire to extract a confession from Chloe that she was collaborating with Audrey and Jack, which led to Chloe being taken into custody. Chloe later blackmailed her with the threat of a recommendation for psychiatric evaluation in order to gain assistance in her escape attempt. Sometime after that Valerie Harris took Shari into custody little after 1:00 a.m. for letting Chloe O'Brian escape

Paula Schaeffer

Paula Schaeffer (played by Sara Gilbert) was a programmer during Season 2.

As a new employee at the beginning of the season, Paula is nervous when she hears a nuclear bomb could go off in Los Angeles that day, and feels she is incapable of carrying out her job efficiently. Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler — two of Paula's close friends at CTU — assure her that she is the best one for the job, and she shouldn't worry. Additionally, Paula worries about her family while working, but Michelle convinces her that they are all working to save millions of lives — including Paula's family.

Paula performs several data processing and file alterations during the first hours of the day. When Jack is undercover with Eddie Grant, Paula assists him by altering his records to cement Jack's position and deter suspicion amongst Grant's subordinates. Immediately thereafter, NSA learns of a potential attack on CTU Los Angeles, but they withhold the information from CTU to maintain Jack's cover. However, NSA orders Tony to copy their information onto NSA's servers in an attempt to secure any leaked data that the attack would create. Tony sends Paula over to perform this task.

Less than an hour later, CTU is attacked by a bomb while Paula is going through the most sensitive phases of the file transfer. After the explosion, Paula is stuck under a girder, losing consciousness and on the verge of death. Paula had earlier encrypted all of their intelligence on the nuclear threat, but is now unable to decrypt it. George Mason tells Tony to do whatever he can to regain that data. Although she is on the verge of death, Tony needs Paula to decrypt the information — which may save millions of lives at the sacrifice of Paula's. When Paula wakes up, Michelle and Mason ask her for the source decryption key to complete the file transfer. With her last words, Paula gives them the location of where she hid a copy of the decrypt key. Mason tells her that she is responsible for saving many lives. As Paula is rushed to an ambulance, she flatlines.

Edgar Styles

Edgar Styles (played by Louis Lombardi) was a CTU Analyst during Days 4 and 5.

Styles was portrayed as a subordinate character to Chloe O'Brian but took more control over his own work. Styles was mainly responsible for preventing the meltdown of the Nuclear powerpants and uncovering Marianne Taylor as a mole inside, CTU. While Styles Prevented most of teh nuclear meltdowns, his mother was killed in the first meltdown. Styles continued working for CTU during Day five and was promoted to head Analyst. Styles was mainly doing work in CTU during the DAY until he was killed by the terrorist attackon CTU. Styles was one of only 5 characters to receive a silent clock.

Sean Walker

Sean Walker (Voiced by Danny Cooksey) was a character in 24: The Game. Other than being personally trained by Michelle Dessler, no extensive background was given for Walker. During the course of the game, Walker helped CTU Agents Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida by giving an address to Robert Daniels' last known address, doing satellite scans for snipers, as well as decrypting a P.D.A. found by Bauer. Walker gets executed when the C.T.U. staff are held hostage by Peter Madsen. Adam Kaufman replaces Sean several hours after his death.

Richard Walsh

Richard Walsh (played by Michael O'Neill) was the first director of CTU in day one.

Walsh is the first to learn of the threat to Senator David Palmer and inform the senior memebrs of CTU. Walsh then pulls Jack Bauer aside to inform him that a mole is believed to be working inside CTU.

Walsh then goes to meet Scott Baylor downtown, where Baylor hands Walsh an access card contining information regarding the CTU mole. Shortly afterwards Walsh and Baylor are shot at, Baylor is killed and Walsh seriously injured, Walsh then calls Bauer for help. Bauer and Walsh shoot their way out, but just as they are exiting Walsh is shot again. Walsh then gives Bauer the key card and Walsh dies from his injuries.

Spenser Wolff

Spenser Wolff (played by Jonah Lotan) is CTU analyst and government operative. He was first seen in the first episode of Season 5 as he woke up in bed with CTU senior Analyst Chloe O'Brian. Chloe is angered at him and said that it was a mistake, she demands that he leave. Later at CTU, when Chloe doesn't show up to work, he tells Edgar Stiles that he saw her and that she was ok. Edgar becomes angered at him and blames him for Chloe not showing up on time. Spenser finds out that Chloe was logged in remotely at the Penthouse that former president David Palmer was assassinated at. This led to CTU discovering Jack Bauer's location and having Chloe captured. A few hours after Chloe was reinstated, she saw that Spenser was accessing a server that CTU hadn't given him clearance for (his clearance for CTU was level 3). After it was revealed that he had a level 5 clearance, he was brought into holding for accessing sensitive files. Before he was taken into holding, he admitted a man into the building who claimed he was from Division to put taps on some computers. The man was actually an assassin sent by Walt Cummings and James Nathanson to take out Jack Bauer. Not realizing that this man was a professional assassin, he admitted that he had been working for the White House; specifically Walt Cummings. (Spenser lamented that he thought he "was serving the President" Charles Logan; in an ironic sense it turns out he was correct, as it is later revealed he was involved in Walt's conspiracy.)

In episode 7 he was released from holding to help Chloe O'Brian and Edgar Stiles hack the building security of a building owned by terrorist Jacob Rossler so Jack Bauer and Curtis Manning could move in covertly and arrest him. After this was over, Chloe fired him because of his work for Walt Cummings. She remained mad at him throughout the day, even after he left, for crawling in bed with her.
