Daniel Dae Kim (born August 4, 1968 in Busan , South Korea ) is an American actor .

Life

His parents are of Korean origin. When he was little, they emigrated with him to the United States.

Daniel Dae Kim became known through recurring guest roles in series such as Angel , Star Trek: Enterprise , Emergency Room, and especially through seasons 2-4 of the US television series 24 , in which he was CTU agent Tom Baker plays. In the short-lived series Crusade (a spin-off from the series Babylon 5 ) he played one of the lead roles as Lt. John Matheson . He also worked in smaller roles in films such as Hulk , Spider-Man 2 , American Shaolin and LA Crash and had a guest role each in the episode Return from the Future in the X-Files - The Scary Cases of the FBI and in Star Trek: Spaceship Voyager Episode It happened in an instant . He played an episode (episode 4.04: The Man with the Dragon Dagger) in Charmed - Magic Witches . He also starred in the horror film The Cave .

He gained greater fame through his long-standing lead role as Jin Kwon in the television series Lost . From 2010 to 2017, Kim starred in Hawaii Five-0 , the remake of the 1970 crime series Hawaii Five-Zero .

Kim also works as a voice actor for video games. Among other things, he has played the character of Johnny Gat in the four Saints Row games since 2006 . Since Saints Row: The Third , the character's appearance has also been modeled on that of Kim.
