Obstacles cannot crush me. Every obstacle yields to stern resolve. He who is fixed to a star does not change his mind.
About me
I'm an avid sports fan, born, raised and living in Calgary, Alberta, and my contributions to Wikipedia to date are mainly related to sports in Western Canada. In particular, hockey and baseball. I created my first article on the Calgary Cannons after finding that the Edmonton Trappers had a page, but not the team I followed for years. Since then, I've touched many other articles related to Calgary and area sports - including the Calgary Hitmen, AJHL, HJHL, Calgary Roughnecks, Calgary Vipers and Calgary Okotoks Dawgs.
My main focus has been to develop the pages relating to hockey in western Canada, with a particular focus on junior hockey, especially the Western Hockey League. I have worked on many articles related to historical leagues as well as the NHL, in particular, articles related to the Calgary Flames. Oddly enough, despite my overwhelming focus on hockey-related articles, my 250th new article was also about baseball: Calgary Vipers' Mr. .400, Darryl Brinkley.
My current, long term, project is to complete a history of the NHL in four parts. The first article, History of the National Hockey League (1917–1942), is complete and was recently promoted to featured status. The second, History of the National Hockey League (1942–1967) is a GA and in copyediting before going to FAC itself.
As of May 23, 2008, I was ranked 1664 by number of edits on English Wikipedia, with 13,107 edits, according to this list: Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits. I am one of the seven. I am also an Administrator. If you are here because you disagree with anything I have done, blame this guy for that. Otherwise, feel free to complain on my talk page. I will try to address your concern.

Vandalism
My userpage has been vandalized twenty times for a total of 46 edits, proving that few vandals can form a coherent thought on the first try. Included was this genius submission: "how do you like this, retart!"[1]
I'm also quite partial to this mess left on my talk page: [2]
It's good to know people out there are thinking of me.
