Tepalcatepec is a town in Michoacán, Mexico, located north of Canollita.

It is the endemic environment of Michoacan Club-tail iguana (Ctenosaura clarki). The habitat of this species is dry, hot, cactus covered rocky hillsides.

Where the Cupatitzio River emerges and forms fabulous waterfalls amid scentful tropical trees and flowers and floating butterflies.

Infiernillo Dam About 50 miles south of Uruapan on the road to Playa Azul. Forms the Infiernillo Lake. Over 60 miles in length. Fed by the Balsas and Tepalcatepec Rivers.

Tzararacua Falls Six miles south of Uruapan One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Mexico formed by the Cupatitzio River. Over 120 feet high.

Zocalo - Plaza Principal Includes the early life of Michoacan with period pottery, textiles and artifacts.
