Tepalcatepec is a city and municipality of México located in la Tierra Caliente limit boundaries in the state of Michoacán and adjoin with the state of Jalisco. Its total population of Tepalcatepec in 2010 was 31,004

Fauna

It is the endemic environment of Michoacan Club-tail iguana (Ctenosaura clarki). The habitat of this species is dry, hot, cactus covered rocky hillsides.
