(10541) Malesherbes is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 31 December 1991 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at de Observatoire Haute-Provence ( IAU code in 511) South of France was discovered.

The asteroid belongs to the Levin family, a group of asteroids named after (2076) Levin .

(10541) Malesherbes was named on July 12, 2014 after the French statesman , minister , botanist and later defender of Louis XVI. Chrétien-Guillaume de Lamoignon de Malesherbes (1721–1794), who was executed in 1794 for his role in defending the king with his relatives.
