(1086) Nata is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 25, 1927 by Russian astronomers Sergei Ivanovich Beljawski and Nikolaj Ivanov at the Crimean Observatory in Simejis .
The asteroid has a Russian female given name in the diminutive of Natalia.
