(1206) Numerowia is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on October 18, 1931 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth , who worked at the observatory on the Königstuhl near Heidelberg .
The asteroid is named after the Russian astronomer Boris Numerov .
