(1451) Granö is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 22 February 1938 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the Finnish geographer, discoverer and then Chancellor of the University of Turku Johannes Gabriel Granö .
