(1858) Lobachevskij ( 1972 QL ; 1928 SG ; 1936 MH ; 1955 VW ; 1957 BM ; 1964 YC ) is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on August 18, 1972 by Ljudmyla Shuravlowa in the Crimean Observatory . It is named in honor of the Russian mathematician Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky .
