(2070) Humason ( 1964 TQ ) is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 14 October 1964 at the Goethe Link Observatory as part of the Indiana Asteroid Program was discovered.
designation
The asteroid was named after the US astronomer Milton Lasell Humason (1891–1972), who demonstrated the larger redshifts in the groundbreaking Hubble-Humason project . He discovered comet C / 1961 R1 (Humason) in 1961 . The name was proposed by the American astronomer Frank K. Edmondson (1912-2008).
