(27846) Honegger is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 5, 1994 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian state observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named after the Franco-Swiss composer Arthur Honegger (1892–1955), an important member of the Groupe des Six .
