(3300) McGlasson is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 10. July 1928 by the South African astronomer Harry Edwin Wood in Johannesburg was discovered.
The asteroid was named after Van McGlasson, the head of the computer department at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics . The name was suggested by Brian Marsden , who was in charge of identifying the asteroid.
