(3405) Daiwensai is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 30 October 1964 at the Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing was discovered.
The asteroid was named after Dai Wensai (1911–1979), the director of the Astronomical Faculty at Nanjing University from 1955 to 1979.
