(367406) Buser is a main belt asteroid measuring around two kilometers in length , which was discovered on August 30, 2008 by Markus Griesser , director of the Eschenberg observatory in Winterthur , with the help of a 40 cm telescope .

On September 9, 2014 the asteroid was named after the numbering of the Minor Planet Center by the discoverer with the official approval of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) after Elisabeth Buser, who lives in Winterthur- Hegi . This minor planet officially honors the 55-year-old mother of six now grown children. As a volunteer, she has been working for refugee women from the nearby asylum center for more than ten years and is also involved as a traffic controller for the school children at her place of residence. Griesser was impressed by how the woman campaigned “without lengthy political discussions” in the sensitive asylum area.
