(3691) Bede is a Cupid-type asteroid discovered by Luis E. González on March 29, 1982 .

The asteroid was named in honor of the 100th anniversary of St. Bede's Grammar School in Bradford , West Yorkshire as part of a BBC competition proposed by B. Hafferty.
