(4074) Sharkov is an asteroid in the main belt that was discovered on October 22, 1981 by the Brorfelde Observatory by Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych .
The asteroid was named after the Russian astrophysicist Viktor Ivanovich Sharkov (English transcription Sharkov ).
