(4470) Sergeev-Censkij is a main belt asteroid discovered on August 31, 1978 by Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych from the Crimean Observatory .

The asteroid was named after the writer Sergej Nikolajewitsch Sergejew-Zenski (1875-1958) ( Russian Серге́й Николаевич Сергеев-Ценский ).
