(4566) Chaokuangpiu is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 27 November 1981 from Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing was discovered.
The asteroid was named in honor of Kuang-Piu Chao , a visiting professor at the universities of Tsinghua and Zhejiang.
