(4814) Casacci is an asteroid of the outer main belt , which was discovered on September 1, 1978 by the Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory ( IAU code 095) in Nautschnyj .

The asteroid is named after the Italian amateur astronomer Claudio Casacci (* 1958).
