(4910) Kawasato is an asteroid crossing the Mars orbit of the main belt , which was discovered on August 11, 1953 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the State Observatory in Heidelberg-Königstuhl ( IAU code 024).
The asteroid is named after the Japanese amateur astronomer Nobuhiro Kawasato , who was co-discoverer of the asteroid in 1988 VG2 . This was identified as the lost asteroid (724) Hapag .
