(4942) Munroe is an asteroid in the asteroid belt between the planets Mars and Jupiter . It was discovered on February 24, 1987 by the Belgian astronomer Henri Debehogne . In 2013, the asteroid was named after Randall Munroe , author of the webcomic xkcd .
