The asteroid Marc or - in the nomenclature for asteroids - (71445) Marc belongs to the asteroid belt of the solar system . He was discovered on January 4, 2000 by Lawrence Wasserman at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff , Arizona and named after his son Marc Y. on September 8, 2004.
