(7421) Kusaka is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 30 April 1982 by the Japanese astronomer Yoshio Kushida and Osamu Muramatsu on Yatsugatake South Base Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 896).
The asteroid was named on May 26, 2002 after the Japanese amateur astronomer Hideaki Kusaka (1924–1991).
