(971) Alsatia is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 23 November in 1921 by French astronomer Alexandre Look mass in Nice was discovered.
The discoverer named the asteroid Alsace ( Alsace ). The computing institute, however, changed the name to the Latin form Alsatia .
