Álvaro Villete , full name Álvaro Villete Melgar (born July 10, 1991 in Minas ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Villete won the championship in 2009 with the youth team Nacionals in the so-called Divisiónes Formativas . For this he was honored that year at the Premios Oral Sport in Lavalleja as an ambassador for Minuan football. According to his club, the 1.88 meter tall, Minas-born goalkeeper has been a member of the Cerros youth department since 2009 . Since the Apertura 2010 he has been in the squad of the Uruguayan first division club, where he is the representative of the regular goalkeeper Mathías Rolero . In the Primera División he came to use in the Clausura of the 2011/12 season at the latest. Three encounters with his participation are recorded in this half series. In the following season he was twice on the pitch. In 2013 he moved to Club Atlético Atenas in the Segunda División . In the 2013/14 season, he played twelve second division games for the club from San Carlos . After promotion to the Primera División, there was no further league appearance in the first team in Apertura 2014. At the beginning of January 2015, he was loaned to the Argentine club Deportivo Armenio, trained by Federico Domínguez , for six months. There he played in 40 league games and twice in the Copa Argentina . At the beginning of 2016 he returned to Atenas and played six league games in the 2016 Clausura. He then moved to Club Atlético Progreso and played twelve times in the second-highest Uruguayan league in the 2016 season. Patriotas Boyacá signed him at the end of January 2017 . For the Colombians, he has played in 24 league games so far (as of July 22, 2017), twice in the Copa Colombia and three times in the Copa Sudamericana 2017 .
