Ángel Cayetano , full name Ángel Gabriel Cayetano Pírez , (born January 8, 1991 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

According to his club, midfielder Cayetano, who is 1.71 meters tall, comes from the youth of Danubio. He has been in the squad of the first division club Danubio at least since the Clausura 2011 . For the Montevideans he played 27 games in the Primera División by the end of the 2012/13 season and scored one goal. He also played in two matches of the Copa Sudamericana 2012 . In the Apertura 2013 he came to three more first division appearances. At the beginning of January 2014 he switched to league competitor Racing for six months on loan . There he completed twelve first division games in the Clausura in 2014 (no goal). At the end of June 2014 it was reported that Cayetano would continue his career in Switzerland. From the end of August 2014, reports were made that he was now in the ranks of FC Lugano . However, Cayetano had left Lugano at the beginning of the month and joined the first division relegated Cerro Largo FC in his home country . For the club from Melo , he played 13 times in the Segunda División in the first half of the 2014/15 season and scored two goals. At the beginning of January 2015, he moved to the first division racing team for the second time in his career and played eight times (no goal) in the Primera División in 2015. In the Apertura 2015 there is another league appearance (no goal) for him. In January 2016, he joined the Peruvian first division club Real Garcilaso on loan , for whom he played eleven league games (no goal). He returned to Racing in mid-August 2016 and made eight top division appearances in the 2016 season (no goals).

National team

Cayetano is also a member of the Uruguayan U-20 national team . With this took part in the U-20 South American Championship 2011 in Peru and the U-20 World Championship 2011 in Colombia . In the former tournament he was used eight times at the World Cup three times.
