The Älpelekopf is a 1606  m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps . The subordinate summit is located in the ridge that runs from the Riffenkopf to the southwest and drops to the west and south with steep, rocky craggy flanks . Together with the Riffenkopf, Hahnenkopf and Wannenkopf , the Älpelekopf forms the frame of the Gerstruber Älpeles basin , the pasture area of a long-abandoned alp, which is now used again by the Lugenalpe to the north .

There is no marked hiking trail on the Älpelekopf. It can be reached without a path from Gerstruber Älpele (sure-footedness and mountain experience required). The Älpelekopf is insignificant for tourism.
