The Riffenkopf is a 1748 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps in the ridge that extends from the Höfats to the west-northwest, which is sometimes also referred to as the Höfats foothills . It represents the first clear peak in the ridge between Oytal and Dietersbachtal .
There are no marked hiking trails on the Riffenkopf, only a difficult-to-find Jägersteig. Therefore, it is mostly climbed by locals. Since the Riffenkopf is overgrown with mountain pines up to the summit , finding the way is sometimes difficult.
