The Hintere Wildgundkopf is a 1955  m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps . It is located in the Himmelschrofenzug south of the Vorderen Wildgundkopf and north of the Schmalhorn . In the eastern flank of the Hinterer Wildgundkopf there is a cave, the so-called wormhole, at an altitude of around 1720  m .

Ascent

There is no marked path to the Hinteren Wildgundkopf. It can be reached either from the north from the Vorderen Wildgundkopf or from the south from the Schmalhorn . Both climbs require surefootedness , climbing and mountain experience in pathless terrain.
