The Ärztezeitung , also Ärzte Zeitung , ( own writing : ÄrzteZeitung ) is a German daily newspaper for doctors . It appears daily from Monday to Friday with a widespread circulation of 48,882 copies, of which 3,303 are sold.

The headquarters of the editorial team and the publishing house is Neu-Isenburg .

As a job-related daily newspaper, the medical newspaper is aimed primarily at general practitioners , practitioners and internists . The editors report in particular on news from health policy and medicine. In addition, there is a business section specially tailored to doctors with information and practical advice, for example on the organization of the practice.

The online edition has existed since 1995.

Regular supplements to the newspaper are the science magazine research and practice and the computer magazine doctor online .

The editors of the Ärztezeitung also annually produce the official daily trade fair newspaper during the Düsseldorf medical fair MEDICA .

history

The first edition was published on October 1, 1982, financed by the IMP communication company ( yellow list ). In 1989 the Ärzte Zeitung was sold to Bertelsmann AG ; since 2004 it has belonged to the Springer Science + Business Media publishing group (formerly Bertelsmann-Springer).

1990–1996 there was a special edition for the new federal states . The newspaper received its current layout in 2001.

The newspaper's reporting has twice won the European Newspaper Award for its contributions to the flood disaster in summer 2002 and the introduction of the euro .
