Outer wheel ring
The Äußere Radlring is a nearly 50 km long circuit through the outer district of Munich . The city limits are never touched.
description
The cycle path leads through the districts: Moosach , Obermenzing , Pasing , Blumenau , Kleinhadern , Laim , Obersendling , Harlaching , Giesing , Ramersdorf , Berg am Laim , Johanneskirchen , Bogenhausen , Schwabing and Milbertshofen . The route crosses the Isar twice , crosses the English Garden , touches the Hellabrunn Zoo , Blutenburg Castle (on a parallel branch also Nymphenburg Castle and the Olympic Park ) and numerous other sights.
With the exception of a few places where you can easily determine the further course, it is well signposted, marked by the "outer Radlring" and provided with additional information on the current direction. It runs on park paths and tarred bike paths and, apart from the banks of the Isar, has no significant gradients. The Radlring can also be used with children or child trailers; the pure travel time with children on their own bikes is around four to five hours.
The outer Radlring is not to be confused with the approx. 150 km long RadlRing Munich outside the city area.
