Knynsbusch is a locality in the mountainous city ​​of Solingen .

geography

Knynsbusch is located on a hill north of Kotzerter Straße in the north of the Wald district near the city limits of Haan . Kotzerter Straße, which runs from Kotzert to the north-west , forms a narrow street near Knynsbusch through a residential building very close to the street. To the south of Knynsbusch are the Gräfrath sewage treatment plant of the Bergisch-Rheinischer Wasserverband, as well as Lindersberg and Buckert . To the east are the Zieleskotten and the Bausmühle . To the north is wood , to the east there is sunshine and reflections .

etymology

The name of the place is derived from the family name Knyn , which means rabbit . The part of the name -busch denotes a wooded area or undergrowth .

history

The place is not yet listed in 1715 in the map Topographia Ducatus Montani , Blatt Amt Solingen , by Erich Philipp Ploennies . He belonged to the Itter Honschaft within the Solingen office. The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 lists the place as Kniensbusch and the Prussian first survey from 1844 also as Kniensbusch . In the topographical map of the Düsseldorf administrative district from 1871, the place is recorded as Brunsbusch .

After the Mairien and later mayor's offices were founded at the beginning of the 19th century, Knynsbusch belonged to the forest mayor's office , where it was located in corridor II. ( Wood ). In 1815/16 twelve people lived in Kninsbusch, known as the hamlet , and 13 in 1830 . In 1832 the place was part of the first village honors within the forest mayor's office. The place, which was categorized as a court town according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 14 residents lived in the place, three of them Catholic and eleven Protestant denominations. The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province list the place in 1871 with six houses and 31 inhabitants. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, two houses with 13 inhabitants are given for Kninsbusch . In 1895 the district had two houses with eleven inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and ten inhabitants are given.

With the town union of Groß-Solingen in 1929, Knynsbusch became a district of Solingen.
