After the establishment of the Mairien and later mayor's offices at the beginning of the 19th century, Kotzert belonged to the forest mayor's office , where he was in corridor II. ( Wood ). In 1815/16 55 people lived in the hamlet called Kotzert , and in 1830 61 people . In 1832 the place was part of the first village honors within the forest mayor's office. The place, which was categorized as a court town according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had twelve residential buildings and seven agricultural buildings at the time. At that time, 46 people lived in the village, 20 of them Catholic and 26 Protestant. The municipality and estate district statistics of the Rhine Province list the place in 1871 with eight houses and 43 inhabitants. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province of 1888, eight houses with 57 inhabitants are given for Kotzert. In 1895 the district had seven houses with 52 inhabitants, in 1905 six houses and 51 inhabitants are given.
