Åkeshov is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Åkeshov district . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . It is the final stop of the T17 line on the Gröna linjen. It is one of the moderately frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 2,400 commuters get on here.
The station went into operation on October 26, 1952 when the Hötorget - Vällingby metro section was inaugurated. The platforms are above ground in an elevated position. The station is located between the Brommaplan and Ängbyplan stations. It is about seven kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
