Count Émile de Keratry (born March 24, 1832 in Paris , † April 6, 1904 in Paris) was a French politician.

Life

Kératry was the son of Count Auguste Hilarion de Kératry . In 1854 he volunteered with the Chasseurs d'Afrique , took part in the Crimean War, was from 1861 to 65 in Mexico squadron chief of the counterattack guerilleros of Colonel Dupin and orderly officer of Marshal François-Achille Bazaine

After saying goodbye and returning to France, he published modern , violent accusations against the Mexican policy of Napoleon and his and Bazaine's behavior towards the Emperor Maximilian and the government in several magazines, namely the revue which he directed were most uncomfortable.

Elected to the legislative body as an opposition candidate by the Finistère department in 1869 , he made several legislative proposals in military matters and stood out in July 1870 for his hatred of Germans.
