Émilius Goulet

Émilius Goulet PSS (born May 15, 1933 in Saint-Isidore de Dorchester ) is Old Archbishop of Saint-Boniface .

Life

Émilius Goulet was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Saint-Boniface on June 24, 1958 . In 1960 he joined the Sulpizian religious order .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Saint-Boniface on June 23, 2001 .

The Archbishop of Montréal , Cardinal Jean-Claude Turcotte , ordained him episcopal on September 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Maurice Couture RSV , Archbishop of Québec , and James Vernon Weisgerber , Archbishop of Winnipeg .

On July 3, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
