Óscar Alfredo Ustari (born July 3, 1986 in América , Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football goalkeeper .

Career

In the seasons 2005/06 and 2006/07 Óscar Ustari was a regular goalkeeper at the Argentine first division club CA Independiente . He already had great success in the youth selections of his country. In the U-17 and U-20 he was the goalkeeper of the respective team and played in 2003 and 2005 respectively at the Junior World Championships. In the Netherlands in 2005 he won the world title with Argentina.

Although he had not yet played in the senior national team , he went to Germany as the third goalkeeper in Argentina for the 2006 World Cup . Ustari was the second youngest player on the team and a good 14 years younger than his two goalkeeping colleagues.

For the 2007/08 season Ustari moved to the Spanish first division club Getafe FC . There he signed until 2013.

On August 22, 2007, he made his debut in the Argentina national team in the friendly against Norway .

In 2008 he took part with the Argentine selection in the Olympic Games and was able to win the title there .

In summer 2012 he moved back to Argentina to the traditional club Boca Juniors .

After he had been under contract with UD Almería since the summer of 2013 , he joined the Premier League club AFC Sunderland during the winter break of the 2013/14 season . He has a contract in Sunderland until summer 2014.
