The series 892 of the Austrian Federal Railways consisted of two steam locomotives of the type D n2t taken over from the Hungarian MAV in 1950 in the course of a locomotive exchange . The vehicles originally came from the former Heeresfeldbahn and bore the numbers 4901 and 4902 there. Both machines were built by Krauss-Maffei in 1944 . Both locomotives were retired in 1962 .

Machines of the same design with the numbers 11057 and 11058 came to the United Aluminum Works Ranshofen , today's Austria Metall AG .
