Ömer Kahveci (born February 15, 1992 in Kahramanmaraş ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper who currently works for Bucaspor .

Player career

Kahveci began with the club soccer in the youth of the amateur club Cesurspor in the southern Turkish port city of Adana and in 2005 moved to the youth of the traditional club Adana Demirspor . Here he received a professional contract in summer 2007, but was only used in the youth or reserve team for almost two years. For the relegation phase of the TFF 2nd Lig season 2008/09 he was included in the professional squad. He made his professional debut on May 10, 2009 at a relegation encounter of the TFF 2nd Lig against Turgutluspor . The following season he continued to play for the youth team, but was also used as a substitute goalkeeper for the professionals. In February 2010, at the age of eighteen, he won the post of goalkeeper.

For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Süper Lig promoted Bucaspor on a free transfer . Here he played mainly for the reserve team in his first season and was a substitute keeper for the pros. After the descent of Bucaspor was certain, Kahveci was used as a regular goalkeeper and made four first division matches by the end of the season. In the 2011/12 season he played in 31 league games.

National team

From the Turkish U-17 to the U-21 national team, Kahveci went through almost all youth national teams in Turkey. In 2009 he took the Turkish U-17 team at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup in part, reaching with his team the quarterfinals.

With the U-19, he took part in the U-19 European Football Championship 2011 , and his team was eliminated from the tournament in the group stage.
