The landscape is particularly characterized by its alternation of forests and extensive meadows, which are structured in many ways by natural streams with woody trees that accompany the banks (alluvial forest), fruit tree meadows and field trees (field hedges). The landscape is to be secured as a natural and near-natural habitat for numerous animal and plant species, as well as being preserved and developed as a recreational area of particular beauty and character with high aesthetic value for the general public.
