Özcan Güler (born December 29, 1975 in Lübbecke ) is a former German-Turkish soccer player .

Life

The striker began his career at SC Verl . About FC Gütersloh and Borussia Neunkirchen , he moved in 1997 to the top Turkish league at Altay İzmir . There he played his first appearance in the Süper Lig on August 10, 1997 in the game against Kocaelispor (1-0) in the starting line-up and was substituted after 69 minutes against Ionel Dănciulescu . A few more games followed. He was then awarded in the 2nd division to local rivals Karşıyaka SK , for which he completed nine games. He scored on November 16, 1997 in the 1: 3 away defeat against Adana Demirspor after his substitution, the goal to 1: 2. After his return to Altay İzmir in the summer of 1998, he was without further action due to a syndesmosis tape injury and then withdrew from professional football .

In 1999 Güler returned to Germany to the then top division club SpVg Beckum . Under coach Dieter Hecking he played again for SC Verl in the 2000/01 season. His last career station was again SpVg Beckum.

Since 2005, Güler has been managing the company AG Natursteinwerke , headquartered in Berg am Starnberger See, as founder and managing director , further branches of the company are in Düsseldorf / Neuss , in Bergamo (Italy) and on the Côte d'Azur (France).
