Career

The 1.72 m tall midfielder began his career at MSV Normannia 08 , where Karim Benyamina was his teammate. In 2005 he moved from BSV Hürriyet Burgundy to the Northeast Football League for BFC Preussen . In the 2007/08 season he played for Tennis Borussia Berlin , but failed with the club in qualifying for the Regionalliga Nord. Ergirdi then moved to the regional league club SV Babelsberg 03 in the summer of 2008 , with whom he was champion under coach Dietmar Demuth in the 2009/10 season and was promoted to the 3rd soccer league . There, however, he was only used five times in the first half of the 2010/11 season after a protracted ligament injury. Ümit Ergirdi decided against continuing his professional career and joined the Berlin association division BFC Viktoria 1889 , with whom he was promoted to the Oberliga Nordost in 2011. In the 2012/13 season he was able to win the Oberliga championship with Viktoria and qualify for the Regionalliga Nordost , Ergirdi contributed twelve goals in 30 games. Along with the rise, the club renamed itself after a merger and from then on played as FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin . The first regional league season 2013/14 ended Ergirdi, who scored seven goals, with the team in eighth place. They also won the Berlin State Cup in 2014 and qualified for the DFB Cup for the first time .

At the same time, he is studying law at the Free University of Berlin .
