Česlovas Jezerskas

Česlovas Jezerskas ( Jazerskas ; born May 14, 1949 in Mikalina near Leipalingis ) is a former Lithuanian brigadier general and candidate for the office of president .

Life

Česlovas Jezerskas graduated from the 7th evening school for young people in Kaunas in 1967 and from 1968 served in the Soviet Army (as a wrestler ). In 1984 he graduated from the Soviet Landing Military School in Ryazan, and in 1996 graduated from the General Staff Academy of Russia . He completed further studies at the NATO Defense College in Rome ( Italy ) in 2006.

From 1990 Jezerskas worked in the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania . From February 1991 to January 1995 he was in command of the Geležinis Vilkas infantry brigade . From 1996 to 1997 he was inspector general of the armed forces . In 2004 he was promoted to brigadier general. After retiring from the army in 2007, he ran as a candidate for the 2009 presidential election , but could not even garner one percent of the vote.

Česlovas Jezerskas is widowed. In addition to his mother tongue, he speaks English and Russian . His personal interests include sports, reading, and traveling.

Jezerskas was a judoka master and wrestler.
