İbriktepe ( Albanian  Qytezë ) is a village in the İpsala district of Edirne Province in Turkey . It is located directly on the Greek-Turkish border and is 25 kilometers from İpsala and 100 kilometers from the provincial capital Edirne . In 2012 İbriktepe had a total of 1492 inhabitants.

İbriktepe is the birthplace of Fan Noli , the founder of the Albanian Orthodox Church and briefly Prime Minister of Albania in 1924 . In 1882 the place had an Albanian-speaking Orthodox community. Today İbriktepe has significantly fewer inhabitants than in 1905. At that time, 2320 Albanian-speaking people of Orthodox faith lived in Ibriktepe, and the Ayios Yiorgios church ( Greek for “St. George”), built in 1837, was located in the village. The Armenian scientist Sevan Nişanyan counted the inhabitants to the Rûm (tr. For Ottoman Greeks ).

In January 2011, a bust of Fan Noli was erected in the village as a token of the Albanian-Turkish friendship . It was inaugurated on January 6, 2012, on his 130th birthday, and was attended by the Albanian Minister Aldo Bumçi , Recep Gürkan , the Turkish MP of the Republican People's Party , the Kaymakam Mehmet Ali Gürbüz and Enver Duran , the rector of the University of Thrace .
