The İmranlı Dam ( Turkish İmranlı Barajı ) is located on the upper reaches of the Kızılırmak in Central Anatolia .
The dam, located in the İmranlı district of the Turkish province of Sivas , was built in 1994-2004 as an earth embankment dam with a clay core . The barrier structure has a height (above the valley floor) of 46 m and a volume of 2.1 million m³. The dam was built for the purpose of irrigating an area of 11,220 ha. The reservoir covers an area of 6.5 km². The storage volume is 62.5 million m³.
