İsmail Güldüren (born January 10, 1979 in Inegöl , Turkey ) is a former Turkish football player and manager.

Player career

İsmail Güldüren with club football in the youth of his home club İnegölspor . Here he was appointed to the professional squad in April 1995 and made his debut on April 9, 1995 in the third division match against Sönmez Filamentspor . By the end of the season, he completed two more matches for the professionals. In the next season he achieved his breakthrough in the team and so he played one season as an amateur player. At the same time he started playing regularly for the Turkish youth teams. So the first division club Gençlerbirliği Ankara, known for his talent scouting, noticed him and signed him for the 1996/97 season. He made his debut on December 8, 1996 against Fenerbahçe Istanbul . At Gençlerbirliği he played for many years as a regular player in defense. He played 121 games and scored six goals. His greatest success with the team was winning the Turkish Cup in 2001.

A year later he left Gençlerbirliği and moved to Fenerbahçe. In his first season, under the direction of Werner Lorant , he was not considered for the 1st team. In the 2003/04 season he came under Christoph Daum on five missions and won the Turkish championship with the team . After two years in Istanbul he moved back to Ankara to Ankaraspor . Ismail Güldüren only played the first half of the 2004/05 season there and moved to his former club Gençlerbirliği Ankara during the winter break.

He could not find his way back to the previous successes with the team, which is why he was sold to Bursaspor in the summer of 2006 . In Bursa he played two years as a regular player in defense. Nevertheless, he left the club and has played for Konyaspor since the 2008/09 season .

Managerial career

After finishing his football career, he took over the managerial post of his home club İnegölspor . In 2012/13 the club rose to the TFF 2nd Lig as champions of the TFF 3rd Lig .
