Łukasz Tumicz (born March 1, 1985 in Lidzbark Warmiński , Poland ) is a former Polish football player on the position of a striker .
Career
Player career
Tumicz began his career as a soccer player in 1999 in his home country with Reduta Bisztynek, where he was used until 2000. This was followed by a move to the Stomil Olsztyn juniors , for whom he ran on the field from 2000 to 2002. After joining Stomil Olsztyn, he came to the United States , where he scored a total of 57 goals in 34 games for the Winchendon School soccer team in Winchendon , Massachusetts . After the two years in Winchendon, he moved to the University of Rhode Island , where he studied kinesiology . At the Rhode Island Rams , the name of the football team at the university, he was in the squad from 2004 to 2007. During his time with the Rams, he had a record of 31 goals in 74 games. Tumicz was traded as the 34th pick in the MLS Supplemental Draft 2008 to Columbus Crew , but where he was not accepted into the team.
In December 2007 he returned to Poland, where he was signed by Jagiellonia Białystok, who played in the top division of Poland, Ekstraklasa. He made his debut in the top division on March 8, 2008 in the away game against Górnik Zabrze , which ended in a 3-0 defeat when Tumicz came on in the 74th minute for Remigiusz Sobociński . His first goal came on April 12, 2008 in the 2-1 defeat by Wisła Krakow when he scored the goal in the 76th minute, just one minute after coming on, with an assist from Remigiusz Sobociński. In March 2009 he was loaned to Supraślanka Supraśl until the end of the season, but where he only played one game. In the 2009/10 season Tumicz won the Polish Cup with Jagiellonia Białystok despite a temporary transfer to the team of Młoda Ekstraklasa (17 games, 7 goals) . In the first half of the 2010/11 season he was only loaned to OKS 1945 Olsztyn before he was sold to Górnik Polkowice during the winter break . After half a year he moved back to Olimpia Grudziądz . In 15 league games, however, he could only score two goals and moved to Ruch Radzionków at the end of the season . He finally came to Zagłębie Sosnowiec in 2013 via GKS Tychy , where he was able to fight for a regular place in his second season. He stayed here for two years and then joined Biebrza Goniądz , where he ended his career in late 2017.

Tumicz was able to gain experience in the Polish U15 team as well as in the U16 team in his home country.
