Žana Marić (born August 20, 1989 in Trogir , born Žana Čović ) is a Croatian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Croatian national team.

Career

Marić initially played for ŽRK Trogir , ŽRK Dalmatinka and RK Lokomotiva Zagreb . With ŽRK Trogir and RK Lokomotiva Zagreb took back court player at the EHF Cup and the EHF Challenge Cup in part. In the summer of 2012, Marić signed a contract with the Croatian top club ŽRK Podravka Koprivnica , with whom she won the championship and the national cup in 2013 and played in the EHF Champions League in the 2012/13 season. She then moved to the German Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim . From summer 2015 she was under contract with the Polish first division club MKS Zagłębie Lubin . After Marić started playing for Turkish first division club Kastamonu Belediyesi GSK in January 2018 , she switched to the Hungarian club Mosonmagyaróvári KC SE for the 2018/19 season . In 2019 she left Mosonmagyaróvári KC SE.

Marić has so far played 41 international matches for the Croatian national team, in which they scored 45 goals. For Croatia, she ran in the 2010 European Championships , 2012 European Championship and European Championship 2014 on.
