Žemaitijos pienas (German: 'milk Samogitia ') is the third largest dairy - Group in Lithuania , (after PIENO ŽVAIGŽDĖS and Rokiškio Suris ). The company is listed on the Vilnius Stock Exchange. The market capitalization is 110.8 million litas (April 2005).

history
In 1924 the first dairy was established in Telšiai . From 1984 to 1986 a cheese factory was built, which was privatized in 1993 and since then has been called AB "Žemaitijos pienas". 1995 AB “ Klaipėdos pienas” and 1997 AB “ Šilutės Rambynas” were acquired. Both companies are now completely integrated into the group. In 2006 there were 2,021 employees.
In 2009 the company got ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.
